Eye Rejuvenation

Dr Garsing Wong & Wen-Pei Chen give international talks on their eye-rejuvenation techniques to world experts.

Whenever we look at people, the first thing we instinctively do is scan their eyes. So it is vital that our first calling card leaves an impression of youth, vigour and sincerity.

The simplest way to rejuvenate the eye region with no down time is to use Botox®, at Auckland Cosmetic Medicine Clinic Ltd - Sapphire Appearance Medicine Clinic, a painless procedure which is truly THE "lunchtime" procedure. Within 4 days you can see the effects, as we shape your eyebrows to suit your desired look.

Eyebrows can be lifted with Dermal Fillers such as Teosyal Global Action, Teosyal Redensity II, or Restylane Perlane® now rebranded to Restylane Lyft, safe hyaluronic dermal fillers, which will give you an immediate result as seen below.

At Sapphire we offer a combination of therapies and treatments to achieve a better look in this area. Dark Circles can be genetic, or acquired with ageing. Either way, they can be made to look better. The secret lies in understanding the underlying cause. If the dark circles are due to pigmented change in the skin, then naturally you must address the pigmentation.  Sometimes the best method to address this issue is with makeup.

If it is due to a prominent bulge due to a well developed muscle as seen in younger patients, then a drop of Botox® might be the answer as this will relax the prominent muscle causing the bulge.

Often the answer lies in having combination treatments to achieve eye rejuvenation as see below in these two patients.

Excessive fat pads can be treated with surgery, but if you wish to avoid having surgery, then we can either try to reduce this medically or by using dermal fillers such as the Teosyal Global Action, Teosyal Redensity II, Teosyal Ultimate, or Restylane Perlane® to lift the area to mask the effects of the excessive fat pads under the eyes.  Teosyal Redensity II is the only dermal filler to have a licence to be used for the tear trough region of your eyes.

If the skin is thinning then it may be more appropriate to use Fractional Nonablative 1540nm erbium:glass laser to stimulate skin rejuvenation under the eye, creating more youthful skin to the region.
