Cooltech Fat Dissolving
BREAKING NEWS: OUR SECOND COOLTECH FAT DISSOLVING MACHINE ARRIVED TODAY 17 NOV 2016!!
What better way to endorse a well proven method to get rid of unwanted fat than to not only be the first clinic in New Zealand to bring in the latest fat freezing technology BUT to also announce the installation of a second machine!
Cooltech has a track record of over a million treatments in Europe (*source Cocoon distributor).
Cooltech® Cocoon Fat Dissolving Cryolipolysis or Fat Freezing Treatment at Auckland Cosmetic Medicine Clinic Ltd - Sapphire Appearance Medicine Clinic is the first Cooltech Machine in New Zealand which has eleven armpieces to remove small areas of fat. Dr Garsing Wong who has pioneered nonsurgical facial shaping using Botox®and fat dissolving in the face using phosphatidylcholine "flab jab", is now pioneering the latest technology to get rid of isolated areas of fat by freezing the fat cells.
We are able to prescribe Wegovy (Semaglutide) 2.4mg to help you to get rid of excess fat in conjunction with a good diet and exercise.
Wegovy is indicated if your BMI is over 28 for Asian and/or over BMI 30 for other ethnicities.
Please note, all consultations must be in person. There is no repeat prescription available.
Normal doctors consultation fee applicable if you are interested in this option.
The Sapphire Cooltech Cryolipolysis is intended to reduce fat without surgery. It permanently destroys up to 20% of your fat cells in the treated area(published studies have demonstrated up to 45% in some patients), through a process called "Cryolipolysis" without causing damage to your skin or other cells in the treated area. The Sapphire Cooltech Cryolipolysis procedure uses a vacuum applicator to draw in skin and fat and cool the tissue in the cooling cup for 70min. The procedure is only for spot reduction of fat, it is NOT a weight loss solution.
WEGOVY® (semaglutide) injection 2.4 mg is an injectable self funded ie not subsidised prescription medicine used with a reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity: Doctors fees are in addition to the medication cost

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SAPPHIRE COOLTECH TREATMENT
You will be placed in our comfortable treatment chair for 70min once the treatment cycle begins.
When the applicator suction is applied, it causes sensations of cold creating numbness, deep pulling, tugging, pinching, stinging, tingling, aching, or cramping as the treatment begins. These sensations fade over time as your body tissues are cooled.
After the applicator is removed, the treated area will look and feel stiff; there could be transient blanching (whiteness) of the skin, and intense red to purple colur, as well as bruising, swelling or tenderness. These changes can last up to several hours after the applicator is removed.
Immediately after treatment, the treated area is massaged. This can feel odd or uncomfortable which settles.
For appropriate areas, we apply the Shockwave Cellulite removing device to send vibrations into the treated area or handmassage the area to assist with breaking down the fat cell membranes.
COMMON SIDE EFFECTS FROM THE SAPPHIRE COOLTECH CRYOLIPOLYSIS TREATMENT
In the days following treatment, the area may ache and feel bruised. If this is happens, you may take simple analgesics like Panadol or ibuprofen/Neurofen. This aching as well as redness, bruising, swelling, tenderness, itching, skin sensitivity, tingling and numbness can last one to several weeks and resolve slowly.
In 1 in 20 people there is a strong cramping or muscle spasm or a shooting pain that occurs up to two weeks after treatment. Generally this is tolerable without pain relief.
Is there any guarantee it will work?
In the medical field, treatment results cannot be guaranteed.
You will be able to take comfort in that over 1 million treatments have been administered to date worldwide. However, to date we have seen modest results in a short space of time after the treatment. It is generally accepted that you will need to budget at least four separate treatments to notice a result in addition we recommend a low calorie, low fat diet for one week after the treatment and to take Xenical for one month.
Why is Cooltech so successful at Sapphire Clinic?
Our focus is on delivering professional, expert non surgical cosmetic treatments. We have tried the machine ourselves, understand the science, and choose only reliable manufacturers of equipment. We will not hesitate to let you know if the treatment is not suitable for you, for example if you have too much lax skin, we will let you know that this treatment is not the right one for you.
Our staff receive comprehensive training so that they can be dedicated to achieving results, in a safe professional environment.
You can have confidence in having any treatment at Sapphire that you will receive good medical back up and expertise.
What is the cost of the treatment?
After a consultation with our staff, and we feel that it is appropriate to proceed with the Sapphire Cooltech Fat Dissolving Treatment, then each area which is approximately 10cm x 5cm in size we will be able to given you the quote (there is a special probe which is double this size which counts as TWO areas due to the size).
The diagram above illustrates how Cooltech selectively freezes your fat cells, resulting in about 20% of them to permanently be destroyed giving you a non surgical liposuction result in the region treated.
