Sculptra® Auckland Cosmetic Medicine Clinic Ltd - Sapphire Appearance Medicine Clinic

Dr Garsing Wong, trusted interenational speaker and cosmetic physician, is one of the first doctors to use Sculptra®, Poly-L-lactic acid, a registered medicine in New Zealand to smooth out areas of depressed skin such as skin creases, wrinkles, folds, scars and skin aging. It also assists in the restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss that can be seen in patients treated with antiretroviral medication.

WHAT IS SCULPTRA®?

Sculptra is not a dermal filler like the popular hyaluronic acid fillers as it does not give you instant results. Instead you can expect subtle results which improve with time giving you a long lasting result. Sculptra stimulate your skin to make your own collagen, giving you a more natural looking result. A full treatment of Sculptra consist of an average of three treatments over a few months, which can last up to two years.

Sculptra is a facial injectable medicine made from Poly L Latic Acid which helps to replace lost collagen in your skin. It is ideal for areas of large volume lost which would require relatively large volumes of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, but with Sculptra, you can acheive good gradual restoration of large volume lost in a relative economical manner compared to using hyaluronic acids.

It can be used for panfacial volume restoration, and most patients will experience an improvement in the quality of their skin.

We are no longer allowed to show before and after photos as stipulated by the New Zealand Medical Council. You may view actual before and after photos of Dr Wong's patients by booking in for a free consultation with Margaret when you click on this link. Dr Wong strongly disagrees with the the directive from the medical council as he feels that individual results vary between doctors, and the public has the right to be able to see real results from real patients. If you would like to voice your opinion about the New Zealand Medical Councils decision to enforce doctors to remove before and after photos of our actual patients who have consented to share their results, then please write to Mr Michael Thorn at the New Zealand Medical Council mthorn@mcnz.org.nz

How does Sculptra work?

The results after completing on average three sessions can last up to 2 years.
