Dr Garsing Wong & Wen-Pei Chen have developed unique techniques and give international talks as well as workshops on their pioneering skills.

WHAT IS A DERMAL FILLER?

Dermal filler is a term used to describe any product placed in the skin to restore volume thereby lifting the skin and removing wrinkles or shadows caused through the natural aging process of facial fat loss or that seen as a side effect of some medications that can cause advanced lipodystrophy. At Sapphire Clinic - Auckland Cosmetic Medicine Clinic Limited, Dr Garsing Wong only uses temporary dermal fillers that are completely safe. As our face ages, so does it constantly remodel itself, hence we need to adjust any volume restoration with your natural features to give you a more natural looking result. We use Juvederm Ultra®, Juvederm Ultraplus®, Voluma®, Restylane®, Restylane Perlane®, Restylane Lipp®, Restylane Vital®, Restylane Touch® and Radiesse®.

WHY DOES SAPPHIRE APPEARANCE MEDICINE CLINIC USE THE DERMAL FILLERS IT DOES?

Dr Garsing Wong and Wen-Pei Margaret Chen believe in the principle of medicine of "Do no harm". Through our own research, attending many international cosmetic conferences around the world, speaking at the conferences and mixing with international experts has lead to Sapphire choosing a selected family of dermal fillers that forfill certain niches for volumetric replacement, wrinkle treatment, restoration of hydration in the skin and for augmentation of tissues and structures such as chins, noses and cheeks.

We are no longer allowed to show before and after photos as stipulated by the New Zealand Medical Council. You may view actual before and after photos of Dr Wong's patients by booking in for a free consultation with Margaret or writing to Dr Wong when you click on this link. Dr Wong strongly disagrees with the the directive from the medical council as he feels that individual results vary between doctors, and the public has the right to be able to see real results from real patients. If you would like to voice your opinion about the New Zealand Medical Councils decision to enforce doctors to remove before and after photos of our actual patients who have consented to share their results, then please write to Mr Michael Thorn at the New Zealand Medical Council mthorn@mcnz.org.nz

Please note all photos unless otherwise stated are photographs of genuine patients of Dr Wong, the photographs are not altered or manipulated in any way. It is important to understand that the photos represent one persons experience and there is no guarantee that any other patient will experience similar results.

FINE LINES, LIPS, LOW VOLUME LOSS AND MOUTH CORNERS.

Sapphire's dermal filler of choice are the Juvederm range Ultra and Ultra Plus due to the very forgiving, soft yet extremely hydrophyllic (meaning that the products would draw water).

SMALL AREAS OF VOLUME LOSS SUCH AS CHEEKS, TEMPLES.

Voluma, a product that gives very good volume in areas where larger amounts are needed often using a blunt cannula technique that Dr Garsing Wong learnt from Docteur Taieb, Parisian Dermatologist.

LARGE AREAS OF VOLUME LOSS AS WELL AS RESTORING COLLAGEN IN THE SKIN.

Sculptra, Poly-L-Lactic Acid is a unique stimulant of collagen in our skin, is ideal for panfacial rejuventation. This method requires three to four treatments at monthly intervals, giving you natural looking results which slowly revolumisers the face, lasting over two years.

PLATELET RICH PLASMA TEM CELL THERAPY

Platelet Rich Plasma is a new method of using your bodies own natural stem cells to rejuvenate your skin. It is particularly promising in treating crepe like skin on the neck.
